We all play a role in the great circle of farm-life! Our 24 Barred-Rock and Rhode Island Reds help to protect our garden from harmful insects while also keeping protein on our plates!
Each of our hens lay an average of 4-7 eggs a week averaging out to over 200 eggs per hen each year! Each of our hens works on the farm for an average of 4 years then... well, let’s put it this way: they have one last meal with our family.
Throughout the year, Hillsview Farm offers our excess farm fresh eggs to Spearfish area locals (we eat them nearly every day too!). Priced at $4/dz. or $6/18, we attempt to cover the cost of our feed while sharing these tasty treats with our neighbors.
